Summary |
This episode examines the history and impact of forced community closures in Western Australia. Up to 150 small communities have been marked by West Australian Premier Colin Barnett for potential closure but this is not a new story. Since the 1950's Aboriginal people have been forced off their lands into new settlements with devastating social consequences. Living Black investigates how these families and towns respond to the upheaval, and if is there a way for communities to become self-sustainable.
