Summary |
Gabrielle and Werner Merzbacher began building on a small collection of works inherited by Gabrielle 30 years ago from her paternal grandfather, Bernard Mayer. These included Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Alexej von Jawlensky, Henri Matisse and Vincent Van Gogh. Only individual works have been lent from the collection to exhibitions previously, this is the first exhibition of the collection as a named collection. The exhibition includes Impressionists, Fauvists, Russian Constructivists and German Expressionists |
