Summary |
This series looks at Australia's reluctant march to full independence and the story of the rise and fall of white Australia. We then explore our desire to create a land of the "fair go"; the unfinished business of relations with Aboriginal Australia and the reliance on the great and powerful friends of Britain and the United States. Drawing on unique archival material and featuring interviews with Australian Prime Ministers, Whitlam, Fraser, Hawke, Keating and Howard, this is an epic tale of how Australians have adapted, dismantled and redefined their grand experiment in nation building |
