Summary
This assessment of the current state of the implementation of the Basel Core Principles for Effective Banking Supervision (BCP) in Bulgaria has been completed as a stand-alone Report on the Observance of Standards and Codes undertaken by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (Bank) during March of 2015 at the request of the Bulgarian authorities. It reflects the regulatory and supervisory framework in place as of the date of the completion of the assessment. It is not intended to assess the response to the 2014 banking crisis, and it is not intended to represent an analysis of the state of the banking sector or crisis management framework
