Summary |
The purpose of this book is to contribute to the formation of current and future leaders. The editors have identified key people within Catholic education and encouraged them to share their collective reflections on current challenges. The contributors share their insights in an endeavour to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in Catholic schools. The book opens with a focus on the mission of Catholic schools in secular society, followed by chapters on the reality of leadership in Catholic education. Three of the authors address the challenge of retaining the Catholicity of the school in situations such as declining Catholic student enrolments, highly competitive environments and an integrated national system.
