Summary |
This thesis presents two studies that examined the validity and usefulness of the Visual Suggestibility Scale for Children (VSSC), developed at Cornell University, in an Australian sample of preschool children. Results indicated that the VSSC is a potentially useful tool for discriminating between children's suggestibility on the basis of their individual characteristics, although benefits were observed mainly in relation to the Yield subscale. Potential contributions to research and applied forensic contexts are discussed |
