This book is planned to assist principals and teachers in establishing, maintaining or developing a multicultural program in schools. It is a handbook comprising 11 case studies of multicultural education from 11 schools. Each case study is provided with a summary of each schools approach to and organisation of multicultural programs with a critical commentary. The latter section of the book outlines the policies of each state regarding multicultural education. The policies are seen as outcomes of schools practice as presented in the case studies
