Summary Aimed at higher education policy makers, administrators and teachers, the report responds to the current environment in Australian universities in which there has been substantial development of IT systems and infrastructure, but little evidence of dissemination of these resources. The study explores the factors that help or hinder CFL dissemination. The findings from five case studies suggest that addressing the themes of 'Policy, Culture and Support' may lead to the enhanced use of CFL resources by Australian university teachers. The report recommends the establishment of a national inventory of CFL resources via a system of distributed databases held together by metadata standards, and calls for greater collaboration and sharing of resources.
