Summary |
This week on Talking Heads, Peter Thompson talks to distinguished veterans of the Australian stage and screen, husband and wife Terry Norris and Julia Blake. They have even appeared together as 'husband and wife' on screen, in the acclaimed Paul Cox film Innocence. On Talking Heads they recall their parallel careers with a lot of laughs, a few tears and plenty of ribbing. A fine classical actress, Julia became known later in life, through roles in productions like Travelling North with Leo McKern. While Terry is remembered for his appearances as archetypal Aussies in the TV soaps Bellbird and Cop Shop. He left acting for ten years, entering the Victorian Parliament as a Labor MP.Julia Blake and Terry Norris are both appearing on ABC1 in 2008. Julia is currently playing Minna Franklyn in the series Bed of Roses, while Terry will be on screen later this year in the telemovie Valentine's Day |
