Summary In the third and final episode of The Abbey, it's crunch time as our five women learn what it is the nuns really want them to share. It's now been over three weeks since Robyn, Tusa, Tammy, Meg and Lyn entered the Abbey, and even though they are over the 4am starts, having now prayed in church over 200 times, it's a crucial time in their spiritual journey that sees them open up to the possibility of discovering what it is that they really came for.As Sister Hilda urges Tammy to bring out her pain and get out from behind the mask, the floodgates open. She delves into the past and makes an admission that even Sister Hilda cannot believe! Robyn, fighting against what she's been experiencing at the Abbey, finally opens herself up to the possibility of having God in her life, and discovers the value of silence after it allows her to feel things she's never felt before. For Lyn, taking Communion allows her to finally surrender to a power greater than herself. She also makes her first Confession in 40 years, and the results are surprising. As well as missing chocolate and rum, Tusa has also been missing her music, until Sister Hilda allows her to use the church organ. She returns the gesture by composing a song at the Abbey and playing it for Sister Hilda. Also in this episode, the nuns themselves share insights into why they made the choice to live in an enclosed order, what they like about it, and what they dislike about their life at the Abbey! As the series comes to an end, and as the women leave the Abbey, what will they take away with them? Will Tusa find validity in the spiritual life? Can Robyn, the biggest sceptic of all, do a 360 degree turn around? Has Lyn, normally closed in, finally forgiven and accepted herself? Tammy wants to leave the Abbey having let go of her pain. Will she feel fresh and renewed by day 33? And has Meg finally come to terms with her role in life?
