This dataset is designed for teaching about Cramer's V. The dataset is a subset of data derived from the Survey of the Performance of American Elections (2008), and the example quantifies the association between voting mode ("in person on Election Day [at polling place or precinct]," "in person before Election Day [early]," and "voted by mail [or absentee]") and party choice (Republican, Democrat, or Other).
