Summary |
In light of the importance of countering official corruption as a core variable in strengthening democratic governance in Latin America, the CSIS Americas Program held a conference on July 10, 2007 to examine the degree to which there has been progress, the obstacles holding back advances, and the measures that need to be taken to bring a higher degree of ethics and transparency to governance in Latin America. The presentations and discussions that took place at the conference are summarized in this report, as well as conclusions and recommendations for policymakers |
