Summary |
Police, drugs and money - this program is a special report on a three year undercover investigation into NSW police corruption. The marathon inquiry suggests corruption has continued to flourish in NSW police ranks. Not even the Wood Royal Commission could completely turn around more than a century of bad behaviour. Chris Masters tells the inside story of this investigation by Internal Affairs. He provides a dramatic portrait of the street drugs trade and why it continues to thrive despite all efforts to stamp it out. Relationships between drug dealers and some police are described in vivid detail. Masters' report, "Directing Traffic", aired on day one of hearings by the NSW Police Integrity Commission in the wake of the Internal Affairs investigation |
