Summary |
"The guidelines will assist teachers to plan curriculum, select appropriate practice and communicate the principles of early childhood curriculum to parents, colleagues and others in the wider community. The guidelines also provide a shared landuage for teachers to use when communicating with others and aim to build stronger partnerships between the different providers and between parents, teachers and colleagues. This document emphasises the value of establishing learning partnerships and supporting integrated, play-based learning that is developmentally, socially and culturally appropriate. It also highlights the important role that teachers play in promoting the value of preschool education and in providing continuity between prior, present and future learning of children."--Introduction. |
