Summary THE WHISTLEBLOWERThe WikiLeaks website is fast gaining credibility as a whistleblowing site for political secrets, but one of the people behind it, Australian Julian Assange, remains an international man of mystery. His biggest coup so far has been obtaining classified video of Iraqi civilians and Reuters staff being gunned down by a US military helicopter, dubbed Collateral Murder, which has been watched over six million times. The site also released what it claimed was the list of websites to be banned under the Australian Government's proposed internet filter, before parts of WikiLeaks itself were blacklisted by the Australian Communications and Media Authority. But Julian Assange does all this with no home or office, constantly travelling the world, so Mark Davis tracked him down to Norway, and followed him advising politicians in Iceland on turning the country into a safe haven for whistleblowers. But what did he manage to find out about this shy former-computer-hacker-turned-investigative-journalist? OILY DISASTER!As three huge US oil companies pass the blame over who was responsible for the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon rig and the subsequent oil spill, Dateline goes to meet the local people facing the consequences in the State of Louisiana. The Gulf of Mexico is home to one of the most fertile fishing grounds in the world, but with commercial fishing suspended, local oyster fishermen now face a real threat to their livelihoods. They're so desperate, they've even offered their boats to help in the effort to contain the oil and reduce damage to the environment, but with an estimated 800,000 litres of oil spewing into the sea each day, it's a huge, and some say impossible, task.In an area that's already faced disasters like Hurricane Katrina, video journalist Ginny Stein reports on the attempts to stop the region facing another catastrophe. IRAN'S MAESTROMohammad Reza Shajarian is one of Iran's most famous singers, but he's rarely allowed to perform in his own country. It's because the maestro is an outspoken critic of the current Ahmadinejad government. He's even been labelled a traitor, but he still refuses to be silenced by Tehran's oppressive regime. His most recent work 'Zaban Atash' or 'Language of Fire' has become the battle cry of the opposition, as their protest videos are streamed in Iran and worldwide on YouTube. He's currently touring Australia with his band, so Yalda Hakim joined him in Melbourne to find out why he's so fearless in his demands and to hear what his music means to Iranian people. Watch this Sunday at 8.30pm on SBS ONE.IInternational current affairs hosted by George Negus. (An SBS Production) CC WS
