Summary This journey begins at the Straits of Messina before heading north up the coast to the resort town of Tropea. Continuing north past a striking coastline and hill top villages we come to Paestum, one of the greatest Greek archaeological sites of the ancient world. Further north we take a dramatic dawn flight around the Amalfi coastline, the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, and then explore the ancient Roman town of Pompeii. On the north side of the bay, after a closer look at Vesuvius we pass the crowded city and port of Naples. Flying west along the coast is the beautiful Island of Ischia. This journey ends at sunset on the other side of the bay over the island of Capri and a look at a Roman Emperor's summer villa
