Summary This program provides an overview of the major systems that sustain the human body and introduces the concept of homeostasis. Each system is maned and illustrated with a brief description of its function. The program highlights that the cell is the simplest form of human life, that millions of specialised cells constitute the human body and that each human cell needs a stable environment in which to perform.Vital Systems is a six part series which looks at the major systems of the human body. These include the muscular, skeletal, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, digestive, urinary and immune systems. Through the use of clinical images, graphic illustrations and interviews, the programs provide students with an understanding of how these systems work together in sustaining the millions of cells that make up the human body.**Please note that this program/series has been created from masters kindly provided by DECS Tape Services in South Australia.
