The six-day war was a heavily armed conflict between Israel and the Arab States of Syria, Egypt, and Jordan. In just six days Israel took control of the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights, and the West Bank of the Jordan all known to this day as the occupied territories.
