Estimates the size of Indigenous working age population to 2011 and likely employment outcomes by extrapolating labour force data for the period 1996-2001; an analysis of the direct costs to government of Indigenous labour force status and of continuing Indigenous employment disparity indicates a dramatic increase in costs in the ten years to 2011, in particular those costs associated with the unemployed and discouraged workers; policy implications
