| Summary |
Enrique is a director who finds ideas for his movies in tabloid newspapers. Ignacio, an out-of-work actor, comes to Enrique's with a story he has written, a story he wants Enrique to read. Enrique would ordinarily not be interested but then finds out that Ignacio is a boyhood friend (and lover) who now goes by the name of "Angel". The lurid tale "The Visit" is about their childhood affair, the sexual abuse Ignacio suffered at the hands of Father Manolo, and a fictitious years-later confrontation between Ignacio and the paedophile priest. "The Visit" is told as a film within a film. A murderous scheme develops. Directed by Pedro Almodovar and stars Gael Garcia Bernal and Fele Martinez.
