Summary John Marks Jr. (1825-1907) married Lucy Ann Paine in 1848, and emigrated from England to Sydney, New South Wales (arriving there early in 1849). Charles Paine, Lucy's brother, emigrated with them, but continued for some years as a mercantile sailer, and then married and settled in New South Wales also. John and Lucy had moved from Sydney to sheep farms in Polacks Flat and then Kameruka and other towns in New South Wales. This book chiefly consists of letters between those in New South Wales and those still in England. Includes some generations of ancestry in England
