Summary From novice to master in just five days - this is what challenges Harry Yuan. Harry, a Californian native and an extreme athlete, is on the search for the art of movement. Trained in exercise physiology, Harry journeys to China, the home of his ancestors and the land of extreme moves. Harry gives himself five days to learn some iconic stunts as seen in Chinese acrobatics, opera and dance. Starting as a novice, he has to acquire advanced skills in time for a performance to a knowledgeable and critical audience at the end of training. One of the cultural icons of Beijing is its Opera. Harry gets a chance to learn the moves of the Monkey King or Sun Wukong, a beloved character featured in the Opera. Under Master Zhang Si Quan, Harry learns that being Sun Wukong isn't simply monkeying around. He is required to memorise his steps, and learn to move facial muscles just to ape the characters actions. He has to do this to live music played by a Chinese orchestra. At week's end, Harry has to perform to a critical audience and to his master's satisfaction. (From the US, in English and Mandarin) (Entertainment Series) PGFollow the conversation on Twitter: #SBS2
