Wildest Islands ; Series 2, Episode 5 |
Summary |
Battered and windswept, the Falkland Islands lie off the South American mainland. Their rugged mountains and pristine coastline remain unspoilt by human development, making a unique home for wildlife. The Falklands is one of the penguin capitals of the world, with over a million breeding on the islands each summer. Although no land mammals pose a threat to the penguins, predatory seals, birds of prey and killer whales roam the beaches in search of an easy meal.
