Summary |
Superstars of the internet, the weird behaviour of cats who can meow hello/wear hats/look grumpy is well documented. But what about the average household kitty? In The Secret Life of The Cat, a team of leading scientists stake out a community of cats to explore what our feline companions get up to in their purrsonal time. In a groundbreaking experiment, fifty cat residents from Shamley Green, a quaint village in Surrey, UK, are tagged with GPS trackers and collar cams for 24 hours. GPS surveillance provides an astounding picture of just how far from home these pets wander each day, with one cat who was thought to never leave the back garden roaming as far as 2 miles per day.Collar cam gives a somewhat edgier, unseen insight into a gypsy life on the streets and alleyways, patrolling territories, scaling fences and scavenging for food. Claude, an eight year old grey and white tomcat is, unbeknownst to his owner, a regular cat burglar who goes through the neighbours' cat flap and has a second dinner from the bowl of their ginger kitty Rosie once everyone is asleep. Cat owners may never look at their furry friends the same way again. (From the UK) (Documentary) G CCFollow the conversation on twitter: #sbsdoco |
