Summary
The Rural Book is written especially for people who live in regional, rural and remote areas. It is about the programmes and services of the Federal Government. It includes measures that assist all Australians, but more particularly, it is about things done to help people in rural and non-metropolitan areas. The book concentrates on programmes providing assistance directly to individuals and communities. It deals with a broad range of activities, from programmes that specifically assist rural businesses to general social, welfare and educational support measures
