Summary |
"Documentary based on the book Inside the Mind of a Killer written by the crime investigator Jean-François Abgrall, who tells us of the capture and conviction of Francis Heaulme, one of France's most infamous serial killers. He provides special insight not merely into the investigation but into the mind of the killer. The documentary opens in May 1989, when an urgent telex reaches the Rennes gendarmerie's criminal investigation unit about a murder on a beach near Brest, in Brittany, and it ends with the unsolved murder of two young boys in Montigny-les-Metz for which Heaulme, a strong suspect, was recently dismissed for lack of evidence.
