Good manners. The bad-tempered ladybird didn't say "please" or "thank you", it wouldn't share; it thought it was bigger and more important than anyone else; and it was always ready to pick a fight. This bad-tempered braggart met its come-uppance and became a nicer, happier and at least slightly better-behaved bug
