Description 1 online resource (17 minutes)
Summary In October 1967, 100,000 people marched on Washington to demand an end to the Vietnam War. Marvin Fishman and Masanori Oe, with help from Jonathan Chernoble, documented the event and later gave the film to the newly formed Newsreel. This film depicts the peaceful march that ended in the occupation of the Pentagon grounds. Cameras were there in the midst of the fixed bayonets and billy clubs as the military turned on the demonstrators in this historic mobilization
