Summary |
National Geographic photographer Reza Deghati returns to Afghanistan 25 years after meeting a young resistance fighter named Ahmed Shah Massoud. At that time, he took an iconic photo of the man who was to become a legendary commander in the fight against the Soviet army and the Taliban. As he retraces the steps of the late Massoud, he also tries to capture images which will portray the face of Afghanistan today.
