| Summary |
Adam arrives in Hainan, ready for the Liaw family reunion. After months apart, he's meeting his wife and two kids here in Haikou, to join him at the family reunion. But before they arrive, he's keen to check out the island's food and culture. Hainan Island is known as 'oriental Hawaii', and it enjoys the same palm-fringed golden beaches and tropical climate. Over the years though, many Hainanese left the island, migrating to South East Asia in search of a better life, along with the Liaw branch of the family that begat Adam. This history has also influenced the island's food and culture |
