Looking at market opening, entry of new actors in the banking and securities markets and altered actor constellations, this book explains not only the current position of foreign financial firms in China, but also some determinants of the newly emerging regulatory regime they operate in as well as reasons for the emergence of new types of domestic financial institutions.
