Summary |
Carlton, a disillusioned lawyer, finds his world turned upside-down when the events of the French Revolution encroach on his decadent London life. Asked to defend a young French aristocrat, Darnay, Carlton finds himself falling in love with Darnay's fiance Lucie. When Darnay returns to France, he is imprisoned by the revolutionaries. Carlton seizes the opportunity for action and ultimately, redemption |
