Summary Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) receives a phone call from Holloway Prison where the Salvation Army, who normally provides midwifery for female inmates, have been struck down with influenza. She is called to care for the women and asks Trixie (Helen George) to help her.After being frisked down, Trixie and Sister Julienne enter the harsh realities of the women's prison. After seeing the neglected state of the patients, they insist on daily visits. They meet Miss Stella Crangle (Lacey Turner) who's due to give birth any day - Trixie insists that she get nothing but bed rest. The following day, they are dismayed to find Stella not only still on work duties but also fighting with another inmate. With no family, no home, and a fiance who can't be contacted Stella confides to Sister Julienne that she is concerned that the prison board will take away her baby.Nurse Jenny (Jessica Raine) tends to expectant mother Mrs Baker (Hannah Teinten), who is battling body image issues. Newly married, she is concerned about the changes to her body and that her husband will no longer find her attractive.Shelagh (Laura Main) suffers heartbreak when a routine pregnancy check turns out to be something far more serious. Meanwhile the girls plan for Chummy's (Miranda Hart) birthday, unsure of what to get her.Much to the girls' delight, Fred (Cliff Parisi) comes to the rescue with tickets to see My Fair Lady.PRODUCTION DETAILS:A Neal Street production for BBC.
