Notes Engravings, based on drawings by artist Sydney Parkinson, made from the original plates produced by various engravers under Banks' direction. Unpublished until now, the plates are preserved in the British Museum (Natural History). All 738 were issued in color in the early 1980's as: Banks' florilegium. The engravings were for a projected book for which Daniel Solander was to have written the text
