Summary Volume 1: The Australian Cost Management Manual (ACMM) Volume 1 is a revised and updated version of the 1980's NPWC Cost and Element Manuals. The new manual produced by the AIQS and endorsed by the NPWC successor the Australian Procurement & Construction Council (APCC) has removed outdated nomenclature and data and includes both simplified and modern terminology. It forms the backbone of the construction industry’s nomenclature and classification systems.
Volume 2: This volume contains Coding, Definitions and where applicable guide notes for all Building and Engineering Sub-element divisions. The method and Unit of Measurement for each Sub-element is stated, together with any appropriate notes.
Volume 3: The document relates to Life Cycle Costing as applied to building projects. It links together energy management, building maintenance management and the collection of Cost-In-Use data into an integrated system with mutual benefits to designers and building managers.
Volume 4: This manual provides tools designed to assist the Quantity Surveying profession in communication, and utilising their skills whilst contributing in the Sustainable Development process.
Volume 5: A feasibility study is a systematic risk management process involving problem definititon, the generation and analysis of alternatives, and an appraisal. Also recommendation to determine whether a project should proceed and the form in which it may proceed with a defined plan for its feasibility functionally, technically and financially.
