Summary |
Majid, a traveling Mullah (religious leader), comes across a rural village in East Bengal. When he convinces the villagers that an old tomb within their village houses the remains of a holy man, they turn it into a shrine and he becomes their religious leader, urging them to live as devout Muslims and berating them when they have strayed. However, Majid himself proves to have questionable morals |
