Summary This dataset example introduces Pearson's correlation coefficient, a measure of association between two continuous variables. It measures the positive or negative linear relationship between two continuous variables. This example uses a subset of data from the 2012 Global Health Observatory data from the World Health Organization, looking specifically at IHR scores on disaster preparedness and food safety across 137 countries as measured in 2012. Analysis like this might help researchers and policy makers make better plans in anticipation of potential disasters
