Summary The topic of the emergence multinationals from the emerging economies has garnered much attention. However, thus far little attention has been focused on the impact of this phenomenon on host country recipients of investment by such multinationals. This book is focused not only on seeking to understand the drivers, motives and strategies of such multinationals but uniquely seeks to understand their impact on the host region of Europe. Based on contributions from many of the leading experts on the topic, the book quantifies the extent of the phenomenon as far as Europe is concerned and describes its characteristics. Using a variety of disciplinary and national perspectives including those from home country and host country based specialists, the book offers insights on the initial impacts of this phenomenon on Europe.€It provides the most up to date state of the art research on a topic that is likely to be of ever greater significance into the future
