Summary |
Vic Reeves is the on-screen creation of Jim Moir, who is quite interested in his family history. The person who fascinates him most is Simeon Leigh, his grandfather on his mother's side, who died in 1949. Family stories painted him as an aloof character, and made mention of how he might have been married before meeting Jim's mother's mother. With the help of a family researcher, Jim was able to discover that Simeon had indeed been married twice. Once to a Mary Jane Payne, and the second time to Lilian Crow, Jim's grandmother in 1926. Marriage certificates were found for both unions. The records also showed that Simeon had three sons by his first wife, Mary. (From the UK, in English) (Documentary Series) |
