Recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park, London, Sir Andrew Davis conducts the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in the crowning glory of the English musical year. This year's soloists are celebrated pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the distinguished baritone Thomas Hampson. Music ranges from Rossini and Verdi to Rachmaninov, Gershwin, Thomas Adès and Hugh Wood.
