Summary |
On the 6th of June 1944, tens of thousands of Allied troops landed on the coast of Normandy in the largest amphibious assault ever. For many of the young US soldiers, this war against the Nazis seemed almost like an adventure. What lay in store for them was bloody carnage on the beaches of France.
