Summary |
"The True Legend of the Eiffel Tower is a docu-drama that chronicles the life of Gustave Eiffel, and is the epic story of the Eiffel Tower, one of the most visited monuments in the world. It covers the construction of the tower, Eiffel's efforts to have the Tower used for wireless telegraphy so it would not be torn down, and his failure on the Panama Canal project. The film sticks mostly to facts-"two-and-a-half million rivets, half of which are assembled in the workshop, will support the structure" - revealed in narration and through the daily newspaper articles.
