Summary Critiques Australian society, including several pages on Norman Lindsay, disputing his depiction of Australian women (pages 30-31). Also describes Mortimer Menpes as a "clever young Australia" (page 93). "Then in the realm of high art is Longstaff, C.Y.A. [clever young Australian], painter, Mackennal, C.Y.A., sculptor. the first is head and shoulders above the other Australian daubers, but he'd have to get on stilts and wear the stove pipe to be classed eminent in London ; the scond gets odd jobs which the cableman chronicles betimes." (page 94)
