Summary |
Drawing on the rich movement vocabulary of classical Indian Bharatya Natyam and placing it in contemporary Britain, Jeyasingh's company has been amazing and intriguing audiences for a decade. Often using live music, frequently specially commissioned, Jeyasingh has developed a dance language that is all her own. It has shocked some traditionalists, and confused others, but the quality of her choreography and the power of her dancers are indisputable characteristics of her work |
