In September 2005 the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten printed 12 satirical cartoons of the prophet Mohammed and soon after Denmark faced its worst international crisis since World War II. While the Middle East was on fire in response to the drawings, two prominent Danish Muslims became the centre of the whole world's attention. Imam Ahmed Akkari, spokesman for the Danish-based European Committee for Prophet Honouring and MP Naser Khader, founder of the Muslim Democratic Group. The world witnessed the personal and ideological clashes between the two men as they came to represent opposite sides of the conflict. The film depicts the dramatic and hectic period when the Mohammed drawings put Denmark at the forefront of an incendiary global debate on faith and democracy
