Summary "In this study we have attempted to learn how pupils and teachers, working with parents, may study the group behavior of boys and girls, and what the findings may mean for the experiences provided for pupils in elementary and secondary schools. Our objective were to explore the area, discover the problems involved, test means of studying these problems, and examine what they mean for curriculum development. With such a wide area of investigation, it is not surprising that on the following pages there are more questions raised than answers given. The very fact that this report points to inadequacy of evidence in many areas may lead other teachers to undertake studies which will contribute to the understanding of group behavior. Though our primary purpose is to report the results of our investigation, we have not hesitated to look beyond our objective data. We hope it may be helpful if we report our analysis and the questions that we have raised, even in those areas where we do not have any supporting evidence"--Preface.
