"The eight articles compiled here probe leading conceptual and policy-relevant questions related to emerging arms control challenges of the new millennium. One set of articles looks at the ongoing challenges posed by Iran's nuclear activities and aspirations following the conclusion of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Other articles examine evolving notions of deterrence and strategic stability at the global level over the past decade, and their implications for security in Europe and the Middle East, with special attention to how they affect Israel's strategic calculations.
