Series SAGE business cases
Summary This case elaborates the transformation and upgrading of ZBJ.com, the largest crowdsourcing service platform in China, which grew from a grass-root startup company in ten years. Founded in 2006 with an initial fund of only 500 Yuan, ZBJ.com now is valued at 11 billion Yuan. It kept exploring its business model through seven "Cloudraking Movements" and grew based on failures. This case focuses on three aspects: first, the entrepreneur team with Zhu Mingyue as the core has the entrepreneurial spirit of forbearance and persistence, believing "a sharp sword cannot be forged without ten years"; second, in response to the problems emerging in the development, ZBJ.com explored and designed a reasonable supply-demand matching mechanism, substantially improving the efficiency and satisfying the demand ratio, so as to realize successive innovations of transaction pattern through trial and error; and third, with the background of big-data transformation, abj.com carried out the core reform of a commission model, changing from 20% to free commission, "drilling wells" in the ocean of big data, and adopting the eco-model of "big data + service platform." This case is aimed to present the channels and key factors in the transformation and upgrading of crowdsourcing service platforms
