Summary |
One hundred years ago, patent clerk third class Albert Einstein grappled with the implications of his special theory of relativity and came to a startling conclusion: that mass and energy are one, related by the formula E=mc?. This is a new two part doco-drama series that explores the lives of the men and women who helped develop the concepts behind each term in the equation. The men and women who contributed to Einstein's Big Idea include: Michael Faraday, Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier, James Clerk Maxwell, Emilie du Chatelet and Lise Meitner. E=mc? Einstein's Big Idea stars Aidan McArdle as Einstein and Shirley Henderson as his first wife, Mileva. Actor John Lithgow narrates. (From the US, in English) (Part 1) (Documentary) |
