BUILDING WATCHDOG BILLKey crossbench Senator Jacqui Lambie finally signalled support for one of the government's bills in the senate. The legislation would extend the sunset clause on coercive powers for the building industry watchdog, which Labor set up to replace the tougher Australian Building and Construction Commission. Those powers, which enable testimony about wrongdoing to be compelled from witnesses, were due to expire at the end of May.
